Food Safety Level 2

Who should attend this course?

The aim of this regulated qualification is to provide individuals with knowledge of the basic food safety practices that are essential in the catering industry. This includes the hazards and risks to food safety presented by food operations and personnel, together with cost-effective, practical control measures.

Designed for all members of a team, who may not have a direct personal responsibility but needs to know information so that the food or drink sold from their premises is safe to consume.

Cooking, hot holding and reheating
Food handling
 Principles of safe food storage
Food premises and equipment

The Level 2 Food Safety in Catering course and examination is accredited by Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance.

Course duration:

One day course 9.00am - 4.00pm 

Course cost:

Level 2 Food Safety Course and examination: £65

The cost of the course includes the Highfield Food Safety handbook, course materials, examination and certification costs and also lunch and refreshments throughout the day.

The course is held at our Training Centre 11 Osborne Terrace, Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE2 1NE.
