UXL Awards

Coming up in February 2012 we have the Newcastle UXL awards where learners achievments throughout the region will be highlighted and celebrated during a ceremony at Newcastle Civic Centre.

Pre Employability Training (PET) Courses

Our new Pre Employability Training course has been up and running since September 2011 and has already resulted in a high percentage of learners entering into full time and part time employment. 

Award in Personal License Holders (APLH) acheivement rate

Our achievement rates for the Award for Personal License Holders is now at 97.7%, above the national average.  To book your place on the course please see our Licensing page.

Qualification Success Rates up to May 2010

We have recently recieved our quarterly report from our main funding provision from the Skills Funding Agency.

These have shown to be outstanding with Apprenticeships at 81.3% successful and Train to Gain at 95.3%.  These compare very well against the natioanl average of 71.1% and 83% respectively.

European Social Funding (ESF)

National Apprenticeship Service

Youth Participation Programme (YPP)

In partnership with Newcastle City Council, we have successfully completed exciting and innovative Hospitality programmes with a series of local schools using European Social Funding (ESF).  This programme gives young learners an insight into working in the hospitality industry by training them in real working environments.  The schools which have benefitted from this programme up to date are Kenton School, All Saints College, Excelsior College, Linhope School and Walker Technology College.  This programme is on going after an excellent response from all involved and further places are available.

Brenikov Associates have secured funding for 20 places to deliver Level 2 BTEC first diploma in Hospitality to learners in local participating schools.  The programme will begin in September 2010 and will last for 2 years.

January 2010 

OFSTED Inspection March 2009 - graded GOOD - Level 2

We were inspected by OFSTED for the first time in March 2009 and recieved a Grade of GOOD level 2.

Get Up and Go! Event - Saturday 27th February 2010

On Saturday 27th February 2010 between 11am and 2.30 pm Brenikov Associates will be hosting a  Hospitality Training informational stand at the Get Up and Go Event! at Eldon Leisure, Newcastle upon Tyne. 

Get Up and Go! is an event for young people who are about to leave Year 11 in 2010, those who stayed on for an extra year and those young people who left in 2009 and have not yet found an Apprenticeship or other learning opportunity.

Best Bar None 2010

We are again working closely with Newcastle City Council to train the Best Bar None assessors for the upcoming 2010 awards, after the successful training in 2009.  Good luck to all licensed premises involved this year!

 

Numeracy funding

Beginning in February 2010 we have secured European Social Funding (ESF) to deliver Numeracy Skills For Life.  This enables anyone in employment to achieve Level 1 and Level 2 Numeracy qualifications at no cost to the employer or employee.  For further details please contact us on 0191 281 3520.
