Employer Testimonials

“I enjoyed having a wonderful assessor. Really looked forward to our meetings. Jacqui brought out of me the knowledge I knew but had hidden, extremely easy to talk to and very understanding of how uneasy I felt at times. 20/10”

Ann Robinson - Advanced Apprenticeship in Hospitality & Leadership

“I engaged with Brenikov Training after being let down by another training provider, so my expectations were quite high from the onset – I certainly have not been disappointed ! The organisation is run very efficiently and the staff are extremely knowledgeable and supportive”

Brenda Simm - Owner of Waggon Inn, Ponteland

“I have found the apprenticeship really successful thanks to Nick Hopper my assessor. I have been at Cosentino’s Cafe Bar for over a year now and have learnt so much and think I have improved a lot since day one. When Nick comes into assess me he is really supportive and easy to get on with and makes the work and questions more understandable for me to answer. I am really pleased with what I have achieved and learnt this year thanks to Brenikov.”

Charlotte Nicole Pill - Intermediate Apprenticeship in Food & Beverage Service

“Brenikov Associates is a brilliant company. They do a lot of good things and a lot to help people to achieve what they want. In relation to myself, I wouldn’t be where I am today without Brenikovs’, they put me on the right path. They give step by step instructions and people can learn easily as it is easy to pick up. I couldn’t fault Brenikovs”

Diane Heslop - Club Stewardess at Blakelaw Social Club, Blakelaw

“Throughout my course I feel I have been given lots of support from my work colleagues and also Graham”

Dionne Hood - Intermediate Apprenticeship in Food Production & Cooking

“I have been working with Brenikov Training for a number of years now. I have put staff through a number of training courses over the years and the standard of training received from Brenikov can only be classed as perfect. The attitude from all members of staff at Brenikov is 100% professional without you feeling uncertain. I started to take on young apprentices a year ago and the service received on the run up to them being employed by ourselves was great. All staff are put through a pre apprenticeship course before they start in our venues. This gives these young and nervous apprentices a boost into what lies ahead for them.

Training and assessing has mainly been carried out in our venues and has always been done with discretion so there is no interruption to the business. Meetings after assessments are carried out with the trainer so we all know how things are progressing. We also have members of staff going through a number of NVQ’s and again the service, standard and quality of the work we get from Brenikov is 100%. This year we have decided to take on further apprentices after finding full time employment for our young apprentices who have come to the end of their course. We will be looking to work with Brenikov to further help and train these staff so they can gain as much knowledge, training and qualifications possible in the hospitality industry.

As said previous I have worked with Brenikov for many years now and would recommend them as a training provider to anyone in the industry. A big thank you for all of your help over the years and looking forward to many more in the future.”

Donna Douthwaite - Operations Manager at Pacific House

“I have found the training most beneficial to my job and have had all the help to my job and have had all the help and support i have needed throughout. Graham has been more than helpful and contactable any time. Have thoroughly enjoyed the course and I am looking forward to going on to do the level 3 programme.”

Gale Woolrych - Intermediate Apprenticeship in Food Production & Cooking

As a pub and restaurant operator of multiple venues I found using Brenikov Associates for hospitality training and work based qualifications, productive, positive and helpful to our company.
Having a highly skilled company to provide fully funded hospitality training has meant all the staff who have attended Brenikovs have come back better trained, competent with health and safety in the workplace and are more aware of operational issues. This has led to our company having a more productive workforce

Glen Henderson - Operations Manager for LaddLeisure Ltd

“I applied for a job working for Newcastle city learning teaching adults cake decorating. I have been offered the job and they are going to send me on the PTLLS course that they run at the Westgate Community College. I would like to thank you all at Brenikov as I feel that attending the NVQ courses gave me the confidence to apply for the job and not be scared when the word training is mentioned”

Heather Mclaren - Advanced Apprenticeship in Hospitality & Leadership.

“I have been working with Brenikov Associates for around 12 months and they are now my first choice for the provision of NVQ qualifications and training. Without doubt the professional attitude of all the team at Brenikov, as well as their understanding of my business needs and my staff, have put them head and shoulders above other training providers. They deliver a “value added” service within the NVQ framework that enhances the NVQ programme and provides new knowledge and a valuable learning experience.”

Jane Klotz - HR Manager at Close House Hotel and Golf

“Brenikov remains focussed on the context, needs, and aspirations of it’s locality and, as such, the experience we have of working with Brenikov has proved to be invaluable over many years. This local organisation has a great reputation across the hospitality sector; it has been enhanced by Brenikov’s partnership working and bringing together of all stakeholders towards achieving the best outcomes for all involved.

One of my colleagues has recently been assessed for her Level 4 in relation to the new hospitality qualification. She commented that her assessor was very professional, and put her at ease from the start; as a result, Brenikov’s approach ensured that they got the best from my colleague.

I look forward to continuing to work with Brenikov’s in the future.”

Jeffrey Lough - Headteacher at Linhope

I have really enjoyed this course. The training and support given by Graham has been excellent. I feel I have learned lots to help with my job role

Jenny Green - Advanced Apprenticeship in Hospitality & Leadership

This is our first year working in partnership with Brenikov Training, and the first year we have had apprentices here at Food Nation! From the moment we met with Brenikov Training we instantly knew that they would be able to offer the support and guidance that we were going to need throughout this whole new experience for us. This is a fantastic organisation that has offered continued advice and has quickly reacted to any concerns and needs that we have had along the way.

A fantastic organisation that approaches everything in an extremely professional and yet personal and friendly manner. It’s a pleasure being able to work alongside another organisation who are passionate about what they do. Looking forward to working with Brenikov Training for many years to come!

Joanna Lacey - Enterprise Development Manager at Food Nation

Going to be honest here but this apprenticeship has been the best thing I have ever done, going from applying for jobs and getting nothing, but then going into an apprenticeship and coming out with so much. I have my personal license which I got through my pre-apprenticeship course, I have peoples comments about me on trip advisor, an article in the journal paper which says I am “the most extensive and ambitious waiter I have ever been served by”. Now to have someone say that about you is just absolutely brilliant. However I wasn’t always good at what I do, on my first shift my boss said could you carry some wine and well I’m rather clumsy but said yeah, took two steps and covered myself in wine and dropped the whole tray, but now I can carry loads of wine on my hand and not spill any off it. All the way through my apprenticeship I have had Nick Hopper as my assessor and I must say that man is a star, he has been with me from the start helping me through things and guiding me through my Apprenticeship which I have thoroughly enjoyed

Luke Sweeney - Intermediate Apprenticeship in Food & Beverage Service

Brenikov have worked with us to help improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our learning and development provision. They have supported our trainee’s to give them the opportunity to accommodate their learning needs whilst retaining a work life balance. This has resulted in a more motivated, engaged, willing and committed workforce which is essential for the continued success of our School Meals Service in Newcastle

Margaret Connelly - Area Based Team Manager, Facility Services for Newcatle City Council

“Having had poor experiences of training providers in the past it has been a pleasure to work with the Brenikovs team. They have been friendly, engaging and willing to help at all stages. They respond quickly to emails or phone messages. They are willing to offer advice to all. I have found them excellent in every aspect and it is a pleasure to have them provide the training to our team.”

Paul Stephenson - Manager, Head of Steam Leeds

“I have enjoyed learning my Intermediate Apprenticeship in Food Production & Cooking course and Graham Smith has been a big help getting me through my course. Nothing has been too much of a problem to him”

Stanley Green - Intermediate Apprenticeship in Food Production & Cooking

This is the first time we have worked in partnership with Brenikov Training. They have been professional and enthusiastic from the start, offering lots of support and guidance and clearly explaining the process to be followed, step by step in easy to understand language. The help given to our member of staff has been fantastic, offering plenty of direction and reassurance, which is helping to build their confidence and motivation as well as improving their job results. It’s great to work with with a quality organisation, who do what they say they are going to do, and do it when they say they are going to do it !
