“I have been working with Brenikov Training for a number of years now. I have put staff through a number of training courses over the years and the standard of training received from Brenikov can only be classed as perfect. The attitude from all members of staff at Brenikov is 100% professional without you feeling uncertain. I started to take on young apprentices a year ago and the service received on the run up to them being employed by ourselves was great. All staff are put through a pre apprenticeship course before they start in our venues. This gives these young and nervous apprentices a boost into what lies ahead for them.
Training and assessing has mainly been carried out in our venues and has always been done with discretion so there is no interruption to the business. Meetings after assessments are carried out with the trainer so we all know how things are progressing. We also have members of staff going through a number of NVQ’s and again the service, standard and quality of the work we get from Brenikov is 100%. This year we have decided to take on further apprentices after finding full time employment for our young apprentices who have come to the end of their course. We will be looking to work with Brenikov to further help and train these staff so they can gain as much knowledge, training and qualifications possible in the hospitality industry.

Going to be honest here but this apprenticeship has been the best thing I have ever done, going from applying for jobs and getting nothing, but then going into an apprenticeship and coming out with so much. I have my personal license which I got through my pre-apprenticeship course, I have peoples comments about me on trip advisor, an article in the journal paper which says I am “the most extensive and ambitious waiter I have ever been served by”. Now to have someone say that about you is just absolutely brilliant. However I wasn’t always good at what I do, on my first shift my boss said could you carry some wine and well I’m rather clumsy but said yeah, took two steps and covered myself in wine and dropped the whole tray, but now I can carry loads of wine on my hand and not spill any off it. All the way through my apprenticeship I have had Nick Hopper as my assessor and I must say that man is a star, he has been with me from the start helping me through things and guiding me through my Apprenticeship which I have thoroughly enjoyed
